New Fall Commemorative Brick Order – Through 10/22/24

City Park with bench and commemorative engraved bricks
Example of Dorothy Fielder Park’s commemorative bricks. Donors may choose to have their bricks located here.

We celebrated Van Alstyne’s 150th Birthday in 2023.  The Friends of the Van Alstyne Library proudly offered engraved commemorative bricks for placement in the future Eula Umphress and Robert Hynds Park or in Dorothy Fielder Park.

The bricks that were ordered for Dorothy Fielder Park were installed at the end of May 2024.  If you haven’t stopped by to see the new bricks, take a walk and check them out.  They look fantastic and such a nice addition to the park!

The bricks for the new Eula Umphress and Robert Hynds Park were ordered, but are awaiting installation as the park is not complete.

The Friends of the Van Alstyne Library is excited to offer an additional fall Brick Order!  If you missed out on ordering a brick or just want to order an additional brick, you can now order a brick!!

This is a LIMITED TIME brick order and all orders will need to be received by October 20, 2024.

Commemorative bricks are the perfect way to remember a loved one, provide a testimonial, or be a part of the City you call home.

Your tax-deductible purchase supports the Friends of the Library.

The donor must choose the park for brick installation (Dorothy Fielder or Eula Umphress and Robert Hynds Park).  There are two brick sizes to choose from – 8×4 or 8×8.

8×4 Inch Brick – $100
8×8 Inch Brick – $250
