Promote your business and support the Library with the Van Alstyne Map Project

To participate in this special fundraising opportunity, orders must be submitted by October 15, 2023.

Placing an ad on the colorful Van Alstyne Map is a creative way of getting your business in front of new customers. New residents and visitors come to Van Alstyne every day – the map will show them exactly where your business is located. And, you’ll be helping support the Friends of the Van Alstyne Public Library. The map is available in both print and digital formats.
The revenue from ad fees will help support the Friends of the Van Alstyne Public Library.

For pricing, FAQs, contact information and to place your order online now, please visit VanAlstyneMap.com (this link opens in new tab). The deadline is October 15!

IN THE NEWS: KTEN News Boost Friends’ Summer 2021 Book Sale

Page of the KTEN website showing Friends of Library Headline

The Friends of the Van Alstyne Library thanks KTEN News for their story about our Book Sale in June 2021.

The story appeared on Sherman-Denison-Ardmore area newscasts and noted:

Right now, FOTL is selling donated books at the Van Alstyne Community Center. The organization has semi-annual fundraisers, and all proceeds go directly to the library.

“We try to provide money for the things the city budget doesn’t cover; one of the most popular is our kids program in the summer,” said FOTL member Kay Losh. “We’ve also helped to pay for some improvements to the library itself: New flooring, updates, painting, that kind of thing.”

The Friends appreciates KTEN’s help in spreading the word about our fundraiser.

Library hosts Chamber Breakfast

Chamber of Commerce Event Presentation

The Van Alstyne Public Library had the pleasure of hosting the Van Alstyne Chamber of Commerce Breakfast. The Friends had a membership drive and shared information about ways local businesses can support the Library’s building improvement project.

It was great to see old friends and make some new ones, too!
