IN THE NEWS: KTEN News Boost Friends’ Summer 2021 Book Sale
The Friends of the Van Alstyne Library thanks KTEN News for their story about our Book Sale in June 2021.
The story appeared on Sherman-Denison-Ardmore area newscasts and noted:
Right now, FOTL is selling donated books at the Van Alstyne Community Center. The organization has semi-annual fundraisers, and all proceeds go directly to the library.
“We try to provide money for the things the city budget doesn’t cover; one of the most popular is our kids program in the summer,” said FOTL member Kay Losh. “We’ve also helped to pay for some improvements to the library itself: New flooring, updates, painting, that kind of thing.”
The Friends appreciates KTEN’s help in spreading the word about our fundraiser.
